Free LPG Gas Connection Scheme for Women & BPL Families
Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) is a social welfare scheme launched by the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas. The objective is to provide clean cooking fuel (LPG) to rural and deprived households, replacing traditional fuels like firewood and coal which are harmful to health.
Providing LPG cylinders to protect the health of women and children from kitchen smoke.
Government provides financial assistance for the first LPG connection and hot plate (stove).
Reduces deforestation and indoor air pollution, contributing to a cleaner environment.
Launched in 2016. Target was 8 Crore connections. Focused on BPL families based on SECC 2011 data.
Launched in 2021. Introduced special provisions for migrant workers (self-declaration address proof) and additional 1 Crore connections.
Current ongoing expansion to ensure saturation, targeting households left out in previous phases with continued subsidy support.

Select your preferred Oil Marketing Company (OMC) provider: Indane, Bharat Gas, or HP Gas.
Navigate to the 'Ujjwala Beneficiary' section. Accurately select your State, District, and Tehsil/Block.
The complete village-wise beneficiary list will be displayed. Use the search function to locate your name.
